Ultravox est un groupe britannique de pop électronique/new wave fondé en 1973 par John Foxx avec Chris Cross (de son vrai nom Christopher Allen) à la basse et Stevie Shears à la guitare, rejoint l'année suivante par Warren Cann à la batterie et Billy Currie aux claviers et au violon. Le groupe s'appelle alors Tiger Lily et changera son nom en Ultravox en 1976.

Inspirés par le glam rock et le punk, le groupe développe un son qui influencera la scène new wave, notamment Gary Numan. Avec l'arrivée de Midge Ure en 1979, en remplacement de John Foxx, Ultravox prend de l'ampleur et obtient plusieurs succès (comme Vienna, Hymn ou Dancing with Tears in My Eyes) jusqu'à sa séparation en 1988.

Entre 1992 et 1996 Billy Currie relance Ultravox avec de tout nouveaux musiciens et enregistre deux albums studio mais sans obtenir de succès.

En 2008 Ultravox se reforme avec cette fois Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross et Warren Cann. Après une tournée en 2009 et la publication d'un album live, le groupe sort un nouvel album studio en 2012.

Ultravox (formerly known as Ultravox!) are a British new wave band, formed in London in 1974 as Tiger Lily. Between 1980–86, they scored seven Top Ten albums and seventeen Top 40 singles in the UK, the most successful of which was their 1981 hit "Vienna".

The band has been led by two different frontmen who never played together in the band at the same time. From 1974 until 1979, singer John Foxx was frontman and the main driving force behind Ultravox. Foxx left the band to embark on a solo career and, following his departure, with the three remaining members in hiatus, Midge Ure took over as lead singer, guitarist and frontman in 1980 after he and keyboardist Billy Currie worked in the studio project Visage. Ure revitalised the band and steered it to commercial success lasting until the mid-1980s. Ure left the band in 1987 after establishing his own solo career and the group disbanded for a while. A new line-up, led by Currie, was formed in 1992, but achieved little success.

The band's best-known line-up of Currie, Ure, bassist Chris Cross and drummer Warren Cann reformed in 2008 and performed a series of reunion shows in 2009 and 2010 before releasing a new studio album, Brill!ant, in May 2012. In November 2013, Ultravox performed as special guests on a four date UK arena tour with Simple Minds.

Tall Stories released a self-titled album in 1991 on Epic Records and have recently reunited after Augeri's departure from Journey.

Tall Stories performed at Firefest V on Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Nottingham, UK. Their setlist included songs from their 1991 release, as well as new songs from the album, Skyscraper, which was released on January 23, 2009, via Frontiers Records.

Panic! at the Disco (stylized for a time as Panic at the Disco^]) is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004 and featuring the current lineup of vocalist and guitarist Brendon Urie and bassist Dallon Weekes; joined live by lead guitarist Kenneth Harris and drummer Dan Pawlovich since 2013.

Founded by childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie, Panic! at the Disco recorded its first demos while its members were in high school. Shortly after, the band recorded and released its debut studio album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (2005). Made known by the top ten lead single, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies", the album eventually was certified double platinum in the US. In 2006, founding bassist Brent Wilson was fired from the band during an extensive world tour, and subsequently replaced by Jon Walker.

Influenced by 1960s rock bands the Beatles, the Zombies and the Beach Boys, and preceded by the hit single, "Nine in the Afternoon", the band's second studio album, Pretty. Odd. (2008), marked a significant departure from the sound of the band's debut, and ultimately led to the departure of guitarist and principal songwriter Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker, who favored the band's new direction. The duo subsequently formed a new band, the Young Veins, leaving Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith as the sole remaining members of Panic! at the Disco.

Continuing as a duo, the band released a new single, "New Perspective", and recruited Dallon Weekes (bass) and Ian Crawford (guitar) to accompany the band during live performances. The band's third studio album, Vices & Virtues (2011), marked a return to the band's initial Vaudevillian pop-punk sound and was recorded solely by Urie and Spencer with producers John Feldmann and Butch Walker.

In 2012, the band added touring bassist Weekes to its core lineup, rendering the band a three-piece, and released its fourth studio album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, in 2013.

In 2015 founding member Spencer Smith officially left the band, leaving Brendon Urie as the only member from the original lineup. On April 20, 2015, the band released "Hallelujah" as the first single from their fifth studio album.

The Jackson 5 or Jackson Five; later known as The Jacksons) was an American popular music family group from Gary, Indiana. Formed in 1964 under the name the Jackson Brothers, the founding members were Jackie, Tito and Jermaine. Marlon and Michael would later join, and the band's name would be changed to The Jackson 5. After participating in talent shows and the chitlin' circuit, they entered the professional music scene in 1967 signing with Steeltown Records and releasing two singles. In 1983, Jermaine reunited with the band to perform on Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever and subsequently released the Victory album the following year. After the end of their tour to promote the album, Michael Jackson and Marlon Jackson promptly left the group. The remaining four released the poorly received 2300 Jackson Street album in 1989 before being dropped from their label.

Inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999, the Jacksons reunited in 2001 on Michael's 30th anniversary television special. Following Michael's death in 2009, the four eldest of the brothers embarked on their Unity Tour in 2012.

They achieved their greatest fame from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s with a fusion of rock and roll and rhythm and blues, which they dubbed "rock and soul". Critics Stephen Thomas Erlewine and J. Scott McClintock write, "at their best, Hall & Oates' songs were filled with strong hooks and melodies that adhered to soul traditions without being a slave to them by incorporating elements of new wave." Leur premier album Garbage a reçu un succès critique et commercial : il s'est écoulé à plus de quatre millions d'exemplaires de par le monde. Garbage is an American-Scottish alternative rock band formed in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1993. The group consists of Scottish musician Shirley Manson (vocals, keyboards, guitar) and American musicians Duke Erikson (bass, guitar, keyboards), Steve Marker (guitar, keyboards), and Butch Vig (drums, percussion). All four members are involved in songwriting and production. The band have counted worldwide album sales of over 17 million units.

Garbage's debut album, Garbage, was critically acclaimed and an unexpected smash, selling over 4 million copies and certified double platinum in the UK, US, and Australia while accompanied by a string of increasingly successful singles in 1995–1996, including "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains". Follow-up Version 2.0, released in 1998 after a year of production, had an equal commercial success, topping the UK Albums Chart and getting nominations for two Grammy Awards. Garbage followed this up by performing and co-producing the theme song to the nineteenth James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough.

Despite critical acclaim, Garbage's 2001 third album Beautiful Garbage failed to match the commercial success achieved by its predecessors. Garbage quietly disbanded amidst the troubled production of fourth album Bleed Like Me, but ultimately regrouped to complete the album, which was released in 2005 and peaked at a career-high No. 4 in the US. The band cut short their concert tour in support of Bleed Like Me announcing an "indefinite hiatus", emphasizing that they had not broken up, but wished to pursue personal interests. The hiatus was briefly interrupted in 2007, as Garbage recorded new tracks for greatest hits retrospective Absolute Garbage. Garbage ultimately regrouped in 2011, and released fifth album Not Your Kind of People in 2012 via the band's own independent label, Stunvolume Records.

Membre du groupe Velvet Underground de 1965 à 1968, il démarre en 1970 une carrière solo. Si ses travaux les plus connus sont orientés vers le rock, il aborde tout au long de sa carrière de nombreux styles musicaux différents.

Il a également collaboré avec de nombreux artistes dont : The Modern Lovers, Patti Smith, The Stooges, Brian Eno, Terry Riley, Nick Drake ou encore Phil Manzanera.

John Davies Cale, OBE (born 9 March 1942) is a Welsh musician, composer, singer-songwriter and record producer who was a founding member of the NYC-based American experimental rock band the Velvet Underground, of which he is now the last surviving founding member.

Though best known for his work in rock music, Cale has worked in various genres including drone and classical, and studied music at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Since departing from the Velvet Underground in 1968 he has released approximately 30 albums. Of his solo work, Cale is perhaps best known for his album Paris 1919, and his cover version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", plus his mid-1970s Island Records trilogy of albums: Fear, Slow Dazzle and Helen of Troy.

Cale has produced or collaborated with Lou Reed, Nico, La Monte Young, John Cage, Terry Riley, Hector Zazou, Cranes, Nick Drake, Mike Heron, Kevin Ayers, Brian Eno, Patti Smith, the Stooges, Lio, the Modern Lovers, Art Bergmann, Manic Street Preachers and frontman James Dean Bradfield, Super Furry Animals, Marc Almond, Element of Crime, Squeeze, Happy Mondays, LCD Soundsystem, the Replacements and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Cale was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as member of the Velvet Underground in 1996, and appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2010.
